Tracker and Mini Tracker installation
Installation of The TRACKER and Mini TRACKER is very simple. Both systems have identical installation procedures. Plug the serial port into your computer. Plug in each machine you wish to monitor to its corresponding line on the TRACKER. Install the software, and you are up and running. Please take every precaution in the installation process to ensure your system is going to perform at optimum potential without risking failure. Do not run wires near excessive heat sources, moving parts, or in parallel (closer than 24 inches) with large gauge power wires (EMF may corrupt data). If large gauge power wires need to be crossed, they must be done so at a 90 degree angle to ensure EMF will not be an issue. Unlike TRACKER keypads,TRACKER will operate properly with any guage wire.
The 2-pin connectors arranged in four columns are where each machine terminates on the TRACKER interface circuit board.
The machine signal should be cyclic and that you get only ONE off-on-off transition per physical cycle
The on voltage can be either twelve (12) to thirty (30) volts VDC, or twenty-four (24) to one hundred twenty (120) volt VAC. Since each line is optically isolated you can mix and match the voltages to the TRACKER interface circuit board.
The RJ11-DB25 connector should be plugged into the computer's 25-pin male serial connection, or 9-pin male serial connection using a 25-to-9 serial adapter. Serial settings are fixed at 19200 baud, no parity, 8 data bits, and 1 stop bit.
