Tracker Keypad Unit, Mini Keypad unit
and Keypad module installation
We highly recommend mounting the keypad modules to something stationary to prevent physicall abuse that could lead to malfunctioning. Both Keypad unit systems have very similar installation procedures. The only difference between TRACKER's install, and TRACKER Keypad's is, the keypads need three conductor wiring ran to them instead of two. Please take every precaution in the installation process to ensure your system is going to perform at optimum potential without risking failure. Do not run wires near excessive heat sources, moving parts, or in parallel (closer than 24 inches) with large gauge power wires (EMF may corrupt data). If large gauge power wires need to be crossed, they must be done so at a 90 degree angle to ensure EMF will not be an issue. 20 AWG wiring or larger is recommended to ensure proper operation of TRACKER keypads.

Connect the left, center, and right screw terminals on the keypad's 3-pin plug respectively to the left, center, andright screw terminals on the Tracker keypad interface
If connected properly and the Tracker Keypad interface is powered up, TRACKER KEYPAD should be displayed on the keypad LCD
RECOMMENDED WIRE SIZE IS 20 AWG OR LARGER TO REDUCE RISK OF LINE DROP
Setup for using the keypads
Copy the RejectReasons.txt and DowntimeReasons.txt files in the C:\Program Files\Tracker Host directory to the Host subfolder. Edit so that the desired code number preceeds the actual reason
Replace the XXX in the filename Keypad Call Code XXX.txt with the desired code that will execute a call.
Replace the XXX in the filename Keypad Close Code XXX.txt with the desired code that will close the current job.
